Metadata around the video, not inside its frames
Free AI Wiper checks supported MP4 and MOV container boxes for portable provenance. These include recognized C2PA records, XMP carried in supported UUID boxes, and certain generator or ordinary metadata boxes. You can remove detected AI metadata separately from ordinary metadata.
The cleaner does not decode and re-encode the video. It changes selected container metadata, then inspects the result. This helps preserve the media data, but it cannot remove a logo, caption, visible watermark or signal embedded in the video or audio itself.
Before you share a video
- Select an MP4 or MOV of up to 50 MiB in the cleaner.
- Review which supported boxes were found. A box classified as ordinary metadata is not automatically an AI marker.
- Choose what to remove and check the verified output before downloading.
Some services create a new file or add their own labels after upload. Cleaning the local file cannot control those later actions. Read why an AI label may remain before treating a platform label as evidence that cleaning failed.
What a clean result says
The selected supported metadata boxes were absent when Free AI Wiper inspected the output. It says nothing about whether the footage is real, AI-generated, or how another service will classify it. For the standard behind portable signed provenance, see Content Credentials explained.
